Students

Application deadline related to admission 2015 was 1 December 2014

Self-financed students

It is possible to be admitted to the SUTROFOR course, even though you are not awarded a scholarship. You will then have to cover EM SUTROFOR participatory costs yourself. If you finance your study yourself, you are allowed to study in the country of your last university degree.
The application procedure is the same as described for scholarship students, and admission is based on the same academic criteria.

Students from outside the European Union must contact the Erasmus+: Erasmus Mundus secretariat directly for further information on procedures and deadlines.

Scholarships

Partner Country Scholarships

These scholarships can be awarded to masters students from all countries other than the EU member states and EEA/EFTA states: Turkey, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway. Furthermore, you must comply with the 12 months rule: You must not be a resident nor have carried out main activity (studies, work etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in one of these countries.

Programme Country Scholarships

These scholarships can be awarded to any masters students who do not fullfil the criteria A defined above, i.e nationality requirement and 12 months rule.

Scholarships amounts

Contribution to the travel and installation costs 1000 EUR per year per scholarship holder resident of Programme Country for travel costs
2000 EUR per year for travel costs + 1000 EUR for installation costs for scholarship holder resident of a Partner Country whose location is situated at less than 4.000 km from the EMMIC coordinating HEI
3000 EUR per year for travel costs + 1000 EUR for installation costs for scholarship holder resident of a Partner Country whose location is situated at 4.000 km or more from the EMMIC coordinating HEI

A contribution to installation costs is offered only to students of a Partner Country (1000 EUR for the entire course). It is an incentive to help covering the additional costs related to the issuing of visas, residence permits, etc. as well as the temporary accommodation needs upon arrival in the first Programme Country hosting HEI.

Contribution to subsistence costs

Contribution to subsistence costs (for both Programme and Partner Country sholarship holders) 1000 EUR per month for the entire duration of the EMMC study programme (24 months maximum)

Contribution to subsistence costs must not be given to:

  • Scholarship holders for the EMMC periods (study/research/placement/thesis preparation) spent in their country of residence
  • Partner Country Scholarship holders for the EMMC periods exceeding three month (indicatively the equivalent of 15 ECTS credits) spent in any Partner Country

The amount of subsistence costs indicated in the scholarship application form reflects the duration of the master programme

For both categories please note:

  1. You must study in two of the consortium partner countries.
  2. If you hold an Erasmus+: Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, these two countries must be different from your home country.
  3. You are not entitled to receive the monthly scholarship payment, if you during the two-year period of the MSc programme, stay in your home country. The rule also applies to holidays.
